That may be a RFE and then eventually you have to give that letter and do more bargaining with your employer...
You wont neccesarily get RFE for omitting the employer's letter. Your 485 CAN GET DENIED.
YOU NEED EMPLOYER'S LETTER THAT STATES THE INTENTION OF HIRING WHEN GC IS APPROVED. Otherwise, as per USCIS memo recently issued, the officer can simply deny the 485 without bothering the send you an RFE to explain the missing document.
The recent memo says that if the "INTIAL EVIDENCE" is missing, then the petition can be denied outrightly without having to send the RFE.

You are turning a blind eye to his family, while also asking him to spend time with his family. You ask him to spend what he can on his treatment, while his insurance cover may go away if he quits his job and return to fiji/india.
There is no easy answer here.
But if he had his GC, he could spend all the time with his family, use his insurance cover at the same time, and not worry about his family going out of status.
He COULD try to expedite the GC, while also exploring other options.

I second...no need to panic....let's start doing what they're doing on the last week of September if we don't get our receipts....just kidding...
I guess a well package application gets the nod for Receipting very fast while poorly package ones may face stricter scrutiny at the mailroom. Another thing, the mailing room is also sorting out applications to be retained at its service center and those that need to be transferred to other service centers.

I looked at both the service center webpages(texas & nebraska) & I-485 application has to be sent to Nebraska only.I do not understand now why they are transferring the application from nebraska to Texas
if I-140 is approved at Texas.

My I-140 mailed/delivered at TSC was approved in 20 days (2/2006). Attorney mailed AOS at NSC (delivered on 7/2/07: he said all EB applications has to go to NSC irrespective of the center of I-140 appoval). I donot understand if it is to be transferred to TSC why it should have been invited at NSC-may be receipt #s are generated at NSC and cases are transferred electronically to different centers for handling depending upon work load of the center. NSC may be the monitoring center. Going by discussions here it looks like TSC is quick and fast. Any guesses?

thanks a lot kshitijnt.... my gc has been filed about 5 months back. At that point I wasn't planning to shift to PF otherwise i wudn't have made them file it. ya, as u said i shud have started with PF directy. Just because my company filed for h1b, i didn't wanted to ditch theem. Now I realised that its foolish in this fied to be considerate for someone especially desi employers.

Okay - so I know this is premature....but just today I logged into my CRIS account and I saw that they've touched my case on Aug 25th!!

Please some one has take a lead. I know a very good attorney i.e. Visanow.com. We should try to contact them and find out what are possibility we have to remove the country cap.
some of EB3 folks formed a group to fight for this but EB2 did not participate because they were thinking that they will get their GC sooner or later.
